Health and Welfare
Bahrain offers free medical care of a very high standard to all citizens, including expatriates. Health costs amounted to 3 per cent of gross domestic product (GDP) in 1998. In the early 1990s, Bahrain had over 500 doctors, 8 hospitals, and over 20 health clinics and child welfare clinics. In 1999 there were 998 people per doctor.Thursday, January 31, 2008
